Brighten up your home with this pretty fused glass mushroom ornament.

The mushroom cap has been made using a deep blue fusible glass with dark purple/black and yellow frit (small pieces of glass). It has been fired twice, first to a temperature of around 800 degrees Celsius in order to fuse the glass together and then a second time in order to slump the glass over a ceramic mould.

The cap has then been secured to the wooden base using clear epoxy resin. Finally the wood has been varnished.

The mushroom measures approximately 10.5cm across and is approximately 13cm tall. It comes in two parts for ease of posting. To put together, simply slot the top on to the dowel in the base.

Each mushroom is handmade using different glass tops. Other designs are available.
