Brighten up your home with this pretty fused glass mushroom stake.

The mushroom cap has been made by fusing a unique pattern of red and orange glass powder onto a disc of clear glass placed on top of a disc of white opaque glass. The piece has first been by fired to a temperature of around 800 degrees Celsius and then been fired a second time in order to slump it over a ceramic mould.

The cap has been secured to a copper end cap using clear epoxy resin. This fits snuggly over the copper pipe.

The mushroom measures approximately 9cm across and the pipe is approximately 18-21cm in length. It comes in two parts for ease of posting. To put together, simply slot the end cap on to the pipe. You may wish to glue together for added security.

This listing is for the mushroom and pipe ‘stem’ only. You can display your mushroom as a plant buddy for a favourite house plant or you could ‘pot’ it in its own little pot. Please note the pot in the photo is not included in this listing. It is for illustration purposes only.

The copper ‘stems’ will develop a natural patina over time. Each mushroom is handmade using different glass tops. Other designs are available as are larger mushrooms. Please see my other listings.
