    Fused Glass Optical Illusion Coaster

    This optical illusion coaster has been made using coloured and clear glass and lots of 1mm glass rods called stringers. Stacks of clear glass are arranged on top of the stringers before fusing in the kiln. As the glass melts it distorts the straight stringers and creates this amazing optical illusion effect.

    After the first fuse the edges have been straightened using a grinder and the piece is then fired a second time to give the edges a lovely shiny finish. Rubber bumper feet have been added to the corners to prevent the coaster from slipping. The coaster is approximately 10cm by 10cm.



    *Not suitable for food.
    *Hand wash with warm soapy water or dust with a clean soft cloth. Not dishwasher safe.
