    Fused Glass Wild Flower Meadow Wave

    Several techniques and firing processes have been used to create this fused glass wave. The flowers and butterflies are made using glass powders and moulds. Once the moulds have been filled with different coloured powders water is added and they are placed in the freezer. Once frozen they are carefully removed from the moulds and fired in the kiln to fuse the powder together.

    The grass is made using a variety of green glass strips that have been fired at a temperature that fuses them together whilst maintaining the shapes of the individual pieces. The flowers and butterflies are then placed onto this and tack fused. Finally the piece is slumped over a ceramic wave mould.

    The wave measures approximately 24cm by 10cm by 3.5cm.

    *Glass is fragile and needs to be handled with care. This is a purely decorative piece and is best displayed where it won’t get knocked.
